REVIEW ANALYSIS AND FINAL THOUGHTS
Patriot’s sole intent with introducing the Pyro SE (Special Edition) was to appeal to the enthusiast and business community. Their choice of Micron synchronous NAND flash memory has resulted in a higher performing solid state drive than their previous Pyro release. With performance comes a slightly higher price which, in this instance is approximately seventy dollars.
At the end of the day the Patriot Pyro SE 6 Gbps 240GB SSD shows superior performance as is typical of ‘SandForce Driven’ SSDs. If we could provide any suggestion what so ever for this package, it would be to include a desktop adapter and consider including a migration utility as this is becoming common place in SSD packaging as of late. The Pyro SE is awarded of Bronze Seal of Approval.
