3D MARK STORAGE GAMING BENCHMARK
UL Solutions has created a new storage gaming benchmark that we will start to use as new SSDs come in. The 3DMark Storage Benchmark DLC extends 3DMark Advanced Edition with a dedicated component test for measuring the gaming performance of SSDs and other storage hardware. It supports all the latest storage technologies and tests practical, real-world gaming performance for activities such as loading games, saving progress, installing game files, and recording gameplay video streams.

REPORT ANALYSIS AND FINAL THOUGHTS
The Corsair MP700 Elite is an amazing SSD that shows true just how far we have come in SSD technology. If you might believe it, there was a time when recommending a DRAMless SSD would cause a flurry of hate in SSD threads. The MP700 Elite performs better than other DRAM- based SSDs we have tested to date. The benchmark results are the tale of the tape.
Performance for the Corsair MP700 Elite Gen 5 NVMe SSD exceeded listed specifications at 10.4GB/s read and 8.9GB/s write with well over a million read and write IOPS to boot. It’s benchmark results were consistently up there with a particular strength in true data testing. It comes with a 5-year limited warranty, something that has not always been seen in similar SSDs and the only thing we might be concerned about is its pricing. It is a bit high. Well…. On one hand we can find more value based SSDs of similar configurations but on the other, this SSD is a powerhouse plain and simple. So… even with this price tag we are awarding the Corsair MP700 Elite our Editor’s Choice Award!
