REAL WORLD FILE TRANSFER
For our Real World File Transfer Comparison of the world’s top M.2 NVMe SSDs, we have included the Samsung 970 Pro, SanDisk Extreme Pro & WD Black 1TB NVMe SSDs, Toshiba XG6, Samsung 960 Pro, and Samsung 970 EVO, in our testing of Samsung’s newest 970 EVO Plus 1TB and 250GB M.2 NVMe SSDs. This test is conducted through the transfer of data from one spot on the test drive to another to give us the truest of transfer speed results for that device.
We would like to have seen a higher placement of the MyDigitalSSD BPX Pro but it seems typical that the higher capacity 2TB SSDs sit beside one another in our testing results.
REVIEW ANALYSIS AND FINAL THOUGHTS
The MyDigitalSSD BPX Pro 2TB did very good in our performance testing, easily matching listed specifications of 3.4GB/s read and 3..1GB/s write data transfer speeds. In addition to this, achieved IOPS results in excess of 500K which is definitely a step forward for 2TB M.2 SSDs, which are still relatively new to the consumer market over all. As much as we might love to see high-capacity, high performance M.2 SSDs available from all manufacturers, consumer need and price becomes an important consideration and, as such, we have really only seen Samsung 2TB SSDs available to date. It simply isn’t a good marketing decision to produce 2TB M.2 SSDs if they won’t be an attractive buying option to anyone but media professionals; they need to reach the masses.
The difficulty of course, is that when we take a look at newer 2TB M.2 SSDs at Amazon, we find the Samsung 960 Pro 2TB NVMe SSD at $1253.99 and the Samsung 970 EVO 2TB NVMe at just over $700. Well, that’s not entirely true. We can get the WD Blue 2TB SSD at $229 but that is SATA 3, over 6 times slower than what we are looking at today. Only the MyDigitalSSD BPX Pro 2TB M.2 SSD comes in at a price point of under $500, and as low as $419 if you buy directly from MyDigitalSSD.
Quite frankly, this SSD seems to have it all, price, capacity, performance…and an impressive five-year warranty.

Sigh. It’s just GB versus GiB. You guys should know better.
