It is no secret that we have been fans of Lexar for several years and, for the most part, their products are always found in our media work. I love the simplicity, performance and calibre of their products plain and simple. That’s why we simply had to reach out when Lexar introduced their newest CFExpress USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Card Reader most recently.
The Lexar CFExpressB Card reader has a port for the CFExpress B Card on one side and the Type-B port on the other, for their included 2-in-1 12″ Type-C to Type-C cable with a Type-A adapter. We threw a CFExpress Type-B card in right away and were able to achieve 1700MB/s. The Lexar CFExpress USB 3.2 2×2 Card Reader is available and found at Amazon for $69.99.
In addition to the CFExpress Card Reader, Lexar has also released a new multi-card reader in the Lexar Professional Multi-Card 3-in-1, shown on the right side of this picture. The 3-in-1 is a USB 3.1 card reader that accommodates SD and microSD card speeds uo to 312MB/s, as well as CompactFlash cards up to 160MB/s.
Checking Amazon, the 3-in-1 Lexar Professional is priced at $29.99 and comes with a two-year limited warranty with included product support. The build quality and feel of these Lexar products is great.
Last but not least, we wanted to show off another Lexar 2-in-1 card reader we have actually had in hand for some time, the Lexar Multi-Card 2-in-1 USB 3.1 Reader. This card reader accommodates both SD and microSD cards at transfer speeds up to 170MB/s and also comes with the standard Lexar 2-year warranty with included product support. It can be found at Amazon for $19.99 and is our go to reader in the field.
