CRYSTAL DISK BENCHMARK VER. 7.0.0 X64
Crystal Disk Benchmark is used to measure read and write performance through sampling of random data which is, for the most part, incompressible. Performance is virtually identical, regardless of data sample so we have included only that using random data samples.
THROUGHPUT
IOPS
The toughest benchmark available for solid state drives is AS SSD as it relies solely on incompressible data samples when testing performance. For the most part, AS SSD tests can be considered the ‘worst case scenario’ in obtaining data transfer speeds and many enthusiasts like AS SSD for their needs.
AS SSD results are very strong and sequential speeds are very close to listed specs.
ANVIL STORAGE UTILITIES PROFESSIONAL
Anvil’s Storage Utilities (ASU) are the most complete test bed available for the solid state drive today. The benchmark displays test results for, not only throughput but also, IOPS and Disk Access Times. Not only does it have a preset SSD benchmark, but also, it has included such things as endurance testing and threaded I/O read, write and mixed tests, all of which are very simple to understand and use in our benchmark testing.
TxBench is one of our newly discovered benchmarks that we works much the same as Crystal Diskmark, but with several other features. Advanced load benchmarking can be configured, as well as full drive information and data erasing via secure erase, enhanced secure erase, TRIM and overwriting. REPORT SUMMARY AND FINAL THOUGHTS
The Lexar SL200 Portable SSD is a decent storage medium for the typical user that is looking to make regular backups of documents, media and whatnot on a regular basis. Regular backups provide data security and there aren’t many people these days that haven’t lost something for one reason or another on their PC. The SL200 is a great way to have that data security in a very compact and speedy portable SSD.
Writing is on the wall for a 2TB release of this SSD but we haven’t seen that just yet. It is small, well built and has a very premium look and feel to it, including a 3-year warranty and security software for your comfort.

Thanks for the heads up Les. As always, a thorough quality report.
pocket size ? Lol, far too big for me. I bought an empty USB stick in the format factor 2280 with 10GBit/s. Together with an A2000 M.2 SSD from Kingston with 1TB. Costs significantly less and is faster. You can upgrade later with 8TB or more.
