The Crucial X9 Pro USB 3.2 Gen 2 Portable SSD is perhaps the most compact high capacity storage medium we have seen to date. It is IP55 water and dust rated, drop-safe to 2m, has 256-bit AES encryption for rock solid password protection It is well constructed with the lanyard opening, soft rubber feel and fits in ones hands easily, fully capable of attaching to ones keychain if that’s your desire. For my use personally, the fact that it is 4TB in capacity and capable of up to 1050MB/s read and write is ideal.
Checking Amazon, Crucial appears to have priced the X9 Pro very well in all capacities, which is a good thing considering they have integrated this device with the uber-popular Micron B47R 176-layer TLC NAND, vice lesser QLC offerings one might see in other similar storage devices. They coupled this with the Silicon Motion SM2320 controller which guarantees this drive to be a quality storage device. Tap on their 5-year limited warranty and the Crucial X9 Pro is a fast, high capacity, value priced solution with a great warranty.
