PNY is announcing its latest SSD offering – the CS2030 Series of high-performance PCIe NVMe M.2-2280 SSDs. The CS2030 utilizes the PCIe 3.0 x4 interface (via 32Gb/s M.2 slots) along with the NVMe protocol to achieve its high levels of performance. The CS2030 is designed as a simple and lightweight replacement drive for ultrabooks, laptops and desktop PCs. Users of the CS2030 will experience quicker boot times, faster application launches, and snappier overall system performance.
PNY’s CS2030 combines MLC NAND with a Phison PS5007 controller to achieve sequential read speeds of up to 2750 MB/s, and sequential write speeds of up to 1500 MB/s. Random 4K read speeds are stated as up to 210,000 IOPS, with random 4K write speeds of up to 215,000 IOPS.
The CS2030 is compatible with most modern operating systems, including Windows (XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10), Linux and Mac OS/X. The CS2030 is rated for Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) of 2,000,000 hours, allowing PNY to back it to the tune of a 3-year limited warranty.
