We nabbed the 840 Pro while in sunny Las Vegas waited and for just the right moment to enjoy posting this contest to the world. As many know, our home base is situated close to Niagara Falls, Canada which, for all intensive purposes may seem north but is really east of Las Vegas.
Doesn’t matter! It is blistering cold out here right now, windy as heck (up to 60mph today) and so white…well here is a picture for all you West Coast folks looking out my passenger side window!

i am impressed with the 830 series drive and i do like what i am reading about the 840 series. only complaint i have (and this is ALL ssd’s not a specific brand) is cost compared to an HDD. i managed to save a little for a couple months to get an 830 series (which is in my evga x58 classified 3 rig) and i am quite pleased with it, i was paranoid at first after reading reviews of the other ssd’s at the time and i am glad i made the choice to go with my samsung 830, i would love to get the 512g 840 for a current build (which needs everythign except the case and motherboard LOL). anyway this is a great giveaway and great of ssd review to offer it up for everyone like they have (even if it lowers the chance to get it) but whomever does win it should be VERY happy with it ( i know i would :D)

About to rig my Dell xps 15 l502x with a ssd + hdd caddy combination and so far cant go past the Samsung 256gb 840 pro. Even though performance is suppose to increase with capacity, haven’t seen many reviews on the 512gb being faster than the 256gb but either way, two very solid drives and the 256 is a a real good price point right now (<1/gb)
