The JetDrive™ 850/855 provides sequential read speeds of up to 1600MB/s, and sequential write speeds of up to 1300MB/s. The base drive is designated at the JetDrive 850, with the JetDrive 855 including a sleek aluminum Thuderbolt™ enclosure, creating a very simple storage upgrade for your Mac computer. Transcend’s latest is an excellent upgrade option for your Mac Pro®, Mac mini®, MacBook Air® or MacBook Pro®.
The JetDrive 850’s PCIe Gen3 x 4 NVMe interface provides four PCIe lanes that are able to transmit and receive data simultaneously, resulting in the 1600MB/s and 1300MB/s data transfer speeds. Utilizing 3D NAND, the JetDrive 850/855 brings a whole new level of user enjoyment to your Mac computing device.
The JetDrive 855 utilizes a 10Gb/s Thunderbolt interface to achieve its blazing fast data transfer speeds. Transcend housed the JetDrive 855 in a sleek aluminum alloy enclosure that perfectly and tastefully complements your Mac computer. The SSD inside is removable, further adding to the flexibility of this upgrade kit.
The purchase of a JetDrive 850 or 855 includes a free download of Transcend’s exclusive JetDrive Toolbox, a software suite that is tailored to Transcends’ Apple-based solutions. The Toolbox helps you to maintain your drive via health and status monitoring, and includes Drive Information, Health Indicator, and Firmware Update options.
Transcend is initially offering the JetDrive 850/855 in capacities of 240GB and 480GB (their website also lists an as-yet-unannounced 960GB model).
