Team Group, a leading global producer of memory storage products, is announcing its newest solid-state drive (SSD), the MP1 mSATA SSD. The MP1 brings outstanding performance to notebooks, Ultrabooks, Tablets and Next Unit of Computing (NUC) devices. At merely 1/8 the size of a standard 2.5″ SSD, the MP1 offers the thinnest and lightest storage solution to date from Team Group.
In spite of its diminutive size, the MP1 offers all of the advantages of a full-size SSD, including high speed performance and lower power consumption, in a highly stable and noiseless device. The SATA III, 6 GB/s MP1 is capable of up to 530 MB/s sequential reads, and up to 440 MB/s sequential writes. The MP1 offers a significant reduction in boot times and program or application load times.
The Team Group MP1 can also be used as a caching drive in conjunction with a traditional HDD, which can also reduce boot times and application load times by monitoring usage, and moving often-accessed data or programs to the SSD for much quicker access. The MP1 also supports Intel’s IRST caching. The MP1 supports S.M.A.R.T., TRIM commands and NCQ.
The Team Group MP1 mSATA SSD is offered in capacities of 64GB, 128Gb and 256GB, and is rated for maximum 4K random reads of 35,000 IOPS, and random 4K writes of 22,000 IOPS. The MP1 is also stated as having a Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) of 1,000,000 hours, and is backed by Team Group to the tune of a three-year warranty.
