Super Talent Technology, a premier manufacturer of storage solutions that utilize NAND flash, is announcing the release of their UltraDrive MX3 SSD. The MX3 features speed and durability to help withstand high endurance atmospheres that expose SSDs to shock, vibration, and extreme temperatures.
The UltraDrive MX3 utilizes a SATAIII (6 GB/s) interface in a 2.5″ form factor. It features sequential read/write speeds of 500 MB/s and 400 MB/s, respectively. The MX3 is available with SLC NAND in capacities of 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. The MX3 is also available with MLC NAND in these same capacities, but adds a 512GB version. These drives utilize 1MB of cache per 1GB of capacity, meaning that the 512GB version features a 512MB cache.
According to Abraham Ma, CEO of Super Talent Technology, “We are excited to introduce the MX3. Not only does it offer a considerable upgrade in speed from its predecessor, the MX2, it is also an extremely reliable device that we believe fits the needs of our OEM and consumer customers.”
Super Talent, whose SSD-based USB flash drive was recently rated by TSSDR as a top pick, backs the MX3 with a 2-year warranty. The MX3 is rated for durability and longevity at greater than 2,000,000 hours mean time between failures (MTBF). The speed and durability of the MX3 make it an ideal candidate not only for desktops and laptops, but also in enterprise data centers.
