Silicon Power is announcing the release of their latest memory storage device, designated as the Bolt B75 Portable SSD. SP has blended the award-winning design of a previous device with the functionality of one of their more popular SSDs to create a well-rounded portable SSD with a unique design and performance prowess.
The Bolt B75’s inspiration came from a nearly 100-year old German transport plane with corrugated metal skin, resulting in the Bolt B75’s prominent fortifying ridges running lengthwise on the enclosure. The Bolt B75 is quite similar in appearance to Silicon Power’s popular Armor Series A75 portable HDD that was introduced in 2017. The A75 was awarded the Taiwan Excellence Award for 2018, as well as the Golden Pin Design Award for 2017.
According to Rabi Tsai, Silicon Power’s designer, “Inspiration came from an old airplane – the Junkers F.13. I’m happy with the design and winning two awards. But, I know that everyone at SP, including me, would be extremely proud of a Red Dot or iF Design Award for the B75 or one of our upcoming products.”
The Bolt B75 is designed for a wide variety of usage scenarios, across a number of creative and professional fields. Passionate users will appreciate the L-shaped, wraparound luminous LED indicator and the stylish, grooved aluminum enclosure. The scratchproof and shockproof Bolt B75 utilizes a USB Type-C connector to attain sequential read speeds of up to 440MB/s, and sequential write speeds of up to 430MB/s.
Silicon Power is offering the Bolt B75 in capacities of 120GB, 240GB, 480GB and 960GB. SP is backing the Bolt B75 with a 3-year limited warranty. Your purchase of a Bolt B75 includes a free download of the SP Widget software, which is utilized for backup and restore, AES 256-bit encryption and to enable cloud storage.
