SanDisk Appoints Henri Richard As Senior Vice President Of Worldwide OEM and Enterprise Sales

SanDisk Corporation, a world-leading provider of flash memory storage, is announcing that Henri Richard has been appointed as senior vice president (SVP) for worldwide OEM & enterprise sales.

Richard will report to SanDisk president and CEO Sanjay Mehrotra.  He brings 25 years worth of experience as a senior-level sales and marketing executive in the high tech industry.

Richard’s significant experience in the semiconductor market include stints at Freescale Semiconductor and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD).  He will be responsible for global sales, service and support of SanDisk’s customer base in OEM, B2B and enterprise segments.

This growing customer base includes smartphone and tablet manufacturers, enterprise storage companies, PC manufacturers, resellers, distributors and direct enterprise customers.

Mehrotra states that “Henri’s proven track record and deep experience in the storage, semiconductor, systems and software industries will build upon our strong OEM and enterprise sales organizations.  His addition bolsters the executive team, further enabling our long-term growth strategies and leadership in the flash memory industry.”

During his stay at Freescale, Richard was senior vice president and chief sales and marketing officer, heading an organization of over 1000 employees.  He oversaw sales, technical support, and corporate, field and segment marketing.  Prior experience included senior sales and marketing executive positions at AMD, WebGain, IBM and Seagate.  Richard has worked in Europe and the U.S., including some entrepreneurial roles.
