The controversy surrounding OCZs lack of inclusion of the Revo 3×2 240GB SSD in its product specifications is about to come to an end.
The SSD Review has just received word from Jessica Luken, Global Marketing Director of OCZ, that the Revo 3×2 240GB version is prepping for release and has a product code of RVD3X2-FHPX4-240G – 84202402723. Can you say 200,000 IOPS for under $700?
Most likely the result of our Revo 3×2 review title, “1.5GB/s Read 1.25GB/s Write As Little As $699“, The SSD Review was flooded with e-mails asking for confirmation after OCZ initially posted Revo 3×2 information, listing only 480 and 960GB configurations of the Revo 3×2. Results of our queries at that time resulted in the quote “Down The Road” and threads flooded the internet with the theme, ‘What happened to the Revo 3×2 240GB?’
Having only been received a few minutes ago, we are happy to blast out the following information relating to to the 3×2 240Gb upcoming release as received exactly by OCZ:
Revo 3 X2 240GB / RVD3X2-FHPX4-240G – 842024027232 / Max read “ 1500 / Max write “ 1225 / Max 4kb random write “ 200,000 IOPS (780 MB/s)
As well, the Revo 3 120GB version is prepping for release with speeds of 975MB/s read, 875MB/s write and 120, 000 IOPS at 4k random write disk access aligned.
For now though, lets take a quick look at what our initial testing of the Revo 3×2 looked like on the bench:
Lets not stop there though. Stay tuned for our detailed tests and review of OCZ’s new Z-Drive R4 capable of 1 million IOPS in the near future!
Oh Yeah!!

Can’t wait! Been watching this for months now and will take the dive the moment this card hits the street . . .
