Mushkin took advantage of CES 2018 to announce a major expansion of their product offerings in several categories:
HELIX-L M.2 2280 PCIe SSD
The Helix-L M.2 2280 PCIe SSD is a dram-less build that helps keep the cost in line. It is offered in capacities ranging from 120GB to 1TB, and features a Silicon Motion SM2263XT controller to deliver sequential read speeds of up to 2.4GB/s, and sequential write speeds of up to 1.7GB/s. The PCIe Gen 3.0×4 and NVMe 1.3 interface also delivers random 4K read speeds of up to 280,000 IOPS, with random 4K write speeds of up to 250,000 IOPS. Helix-L also features end-to-end data path protection, LDPC ECC and global wear-leveling to provide extended drive life. Mushkin backs the Helix-L with a 3-year limited warranty.
PILOT M.2 2280 PCIe SSD
The Pilot M.2 2280 PCIe SSD will be offered in capacities from 120GB up to 2TB. It utilizes a Silicon Motion SM2262 controller and the PCIe 3.0×4 and NVMe 1.3 interface to achieve sequential read speeds of up to 3.2GB/s, and sequential write speeds of up to 1.9GB/s. It delivers random 4K performance of up to 370,000 IOPS (reads) and 300,000 IOPS (writes). Also featured are end-to-end data path protection, LDPC ECC and global wear-leveling to provide extended drive life. The Pilot M.2 2280 PCIe SSD is backed by a 3-year limited warranty.
PILOT-E M.2 2280 PCIe SSD
The Pilot-E is similar to the Pilot, but with increased performance. It offers sequential read speeds of up to 3.5GB/s, and sequential write speeds of up to 3.0GB/s. It also feature end-to-end data path protection, LDPC ECC and global wear-leveling to provide extended drive life. The Pilot-E is also backed by a 3-year limited warranty.
TRIACTOR 3DX 2.5” SSD
Initially offered in a 128GB capacity, the Triactor 3DX pairs 3D TLC NAND with a Silicon Motion SM2258XT controller to deliver sequential read speeds of up to 565MB/s, and sequential write speeds of up to 310MB/s Random 4K read performance is stated as up to 66,000 IOPS, with random 4K write speeds of up to 75,000 IOPS. The Triactor 3DX utilizes an SLC cache to boost performance, and features DevSleep mode for extended battery life in mobile computing devices. The Triactor 3DX is backed by a 3-year limited warranty.
NEXT GENERATION SILVERLINE DDR4 MEMORY HEATSINK
Mushkin is upgrading the Silverline series of DDR4 memory modules to include a new aircraft-grade aluminum heat sink for fast heat dissipation. It presents a refined industrial, yet elegant appearance, and its diamond-cut finish provides gamers, DIYers and system builders with a great look for their systems. The new Silverline heatsink is to begin shipping on new Silverline DDR4 memory modules in Q2 of 2018.
CARBON EXT EXTERNAL SSD
Mushkin’s first external SSD utilizes a Silicon Motion SM2258XT controller and USB 3.1 interface to achieve data transfer speeds of up to 450MB/s and 45,000 IOPS. It also utilizes an ASMedia ASM1153E USB controller, and includes both USB type ‘A’ and USB type ‘C’ cables. The black and sand-blasted gunmetal finish combines performance with style. Mushkin backs the Carbon EXT external SSD with a 3-year limited warranty.
SWAP USB 3.1 FLASH DRIVE
Mushkin’s new SWAP on-the-go USB 3.1 flash drive features flip-out, switchblade-style USB type ‘A’ and USB type ‘C’ connectors, making it ideal for users needing a high-performance flash drive that allows them to move content easily and quickly between devices. The SWAP measures 37mm x 12.2mm x 5.9mm, and weighs a mere 5 grams. It delivers sequential read speeds of up to 225MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 65MB/s. It is compatible with most modern operating systems, including most versions of Windows up through Windows 8, Linux 2.4 and later, as well as Mac OS9 X and later. It is backed by a 3-year limited warranty.
