VALIDATING PERFORMANCE
Our biggest question from the beginning was whether updating the firmware, optimizing, secure erasing and then reformatting would improve performance. We already know this is one rock solid drive. Take a look at the original Crystal Diskmark score (left) from two years ago compared to that of today; they are virtually identical:

For an SSD to be running as strong two years into its life as it did on day one was one thing. For the Intel X25m to now significantly jump its PCMark Vantage Total Point Score from just over 23000 to 40823 is unbelievable.
At the end of the day would we recommend the Intel SSD Toolbox Version 3.0?
