Intel is announcing the addition of the DC P3100 series of SSDs to its lineup of 3D NAND solutions for data centers, representing Intel’s first PCIe/NVMe data center model in the M.2 form factor. Intel’s latest offering extends their 30-year commitment of providing innovative and breakthrough memory technologies, as well as their long-term goal of transforming the economics of storage for various markets with top-performing and reliable Intel 3D NAND SSDs.
Intel’s DC P3100 Series achieves the high bandwidth performance of the PCIe interface, yet at SATA-level price points for read-intensive data center usage. The DC P3100 is an excellent choice for a boot drive for web hosting and cloud storage providers. Lower power consumption, simplified maintenance and lower annual failure rates create a lower total cost of ownership (TCO).
The DC P3100 has been validated across typical data center workload demands, and Intel is backing it with a 5-year warranty. The DC P3100 offers “better together” functionality when paired with Intel Xeon processors.
Intel is offering the DC P3100 in capacities ranging from 128GB to 1TB. It is available beginning 10/25/16 through a number of channel partners. You can view the product page for the DC P3100 here.
