APacer doesn’t come across our desk much but we happened upon an interesting SSD of theirs at Computex 2013 that is capable of using both SLC and MLC memory concurrently, providing an opportunity for OS installation on the SLC memory with data on the MLC.
The APacer CSD is a dual drive RAID driven SSD that is intended for industrial use. It can be configured in RAID 0 with a maximum performance of 1GB/s, or in RAID 1, if data safety is your need. It can also be configured with a SATA or SAS connector and performance was demonstrated as such:
