Adata Technology, a leading producer of NAND Flash products and high-performance DRAM modules, is announcing a new wafer-thin external solid state drive (SSD), featuring a SuperSpeed USB connection. Adata has dubbed it the DashDrive Elite SE720, combining Adata’s proven NAND Flash storage with the slim stainless steel chassis of their award-winning DashDrive Elite HE720 portable hard drive.
SSDs are superior to HDDs when it comes to quiet operation, low power consumption and high shock resistance. Combining these advantages and implementing them into a USB 3.0 portable device creates a very robust, durable external storage solution with speeds that put mechanical HDDs to shame. The DashDrive Elite SE720 attains sequential read speeds of up to 400 MB/s, and sequential write speeds of up to 300 MB/s. Initially the SE720 will be offered in a 128GB capacity.
Featuring a brushed stainless steel housing and a wafer-thin 8.9mm profile, the high performance of the SE720 is complemented by its high-tech looks. The case also features a protective coating layer to provide scratch and damage resistance, even after long-term use. The DashDrive Elite SE720 is backed by Adata with a three-year warranty.
The SE720 also features a bright blue LED indicator lamp to show power and data transfer status. Adata also includes their popular “One touch backup” software, allowing for automated backups and synchronization of data with a single touch. The SE720 is also compatible with Windows To Go, permitting users to boot any computer directly from the external SSD.
