ADATA Announces SD600Q Rugged External SSD with Read/Write Speeds of up to 440MB/s

ADATA is announcing their latest external solid-state drive (SSD) offering, designated as the SD600Q.  Their newest external SSD offers excellent performance, delivering sequential read and write speeds of up to 440MB/s, which is some 4X the performance of external mechanical hard drives (HDDs).

The SD600Q features 3D NAND Flash memory to provide its excellent performance and superior reliability.  The SD600Q also features a military-grade shock resistant enclosure, yet still provides excellent heat dissipation, power efficiency and silent operation.

ADATA will be offering the SD600Q in capacities of 240GB, 480GB and 960GB.  Its excellent performance allows users to download a 5GB Full HD movie in under 30 seconds.  The SD600Q is compatible with Windows, Mac OS and Android (no drivers required!), and is hot-plug capable.  The SD600Q offers out-of-the-box plug-and-play functionality for use with notebooks/laptops, tablets, gaming consoles and smartphones.

The ADATA SD600Q weighs a mere 60 grams, and is built in a palm-sized form factor that slips easily in and out of a pocket or bag.  The SD600Q’s anti-shock silicone enclosure can withstand falls of up to 1.22 meters, and meets the stringent US Military MIL-STD-810G specification standard.  Users have their choice of three color options — Red, Blue or Black.  All are backed by a three-year limited warranty.
