PREMIER PRO SP900 M.2 2242 AND M.2 2280
The Premier Pro SP900 M.2 2242 (22mm x 42mm), and the Premier Pro SP900 M.2 2280 (22mm x 80mm), are some of the smallest SSDs on the market, with an ultra-thin design that meets the new M.2 form factor standard. The Premier Pro SP900 M.2 models will be available in capacities of 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. These two new SSDs are suitable for use in either Ultrabooks or with the latest motherboards being released that feature an on-board M.2 slot.
Utilizing an LSI-SandForce SF-2281 controller, the SP900 M.2 models achieve sequential read speeds of 550 MB/s and sequential write speeds of 530 MB/s. The SP900 M.2 models both support Intel Smart Response Technology, which utilizes caching algorithms to enhance performance. The SP900 M.2 models also support DEVSLP (Device Sleep) mode, which is an important factor in prolonging battery life in modern Ultrabooks, notebooks and laptops.
