Recent benchmark tests comparing the Kove-Versant joint solution to a standard storage system prove its unmatched performance. The joint solution was tested against a standard system to measure execution times for both small and large transactions as the number of processes increased. The Kove-Versant system outperformed the standard system by almost 100 percent, with throughput for the joint solution actually increasing for both tests while the standard systems performance remained flat.
Performance such as this is needed to capitalize on the opportunities presented by big data. IDC predicts that 1.8 zettabytes of data will be created and replicated in 2011 “ a number which may seem challenging to most organizations, but, if wielded properly, presents enormous opportunities to gain critical, actionable insight.
