ADATA Showcases NVMe SSD Performance, Variation & a Gamers SSD – Computex 2017 Update

SX6000NP AND SX7000N

Next up, we have the SX6000NP with the Realtek RTS5760 PCIe Gen 3 x 2 controller and the SX7000NP which relies on the SMI SM2260 NVme controller.

We can see the trade off from 4 lane to 2 lane transfer brings performance down significantly, with the SX6000NP having speeds of 845MB/s read and write while the SMI solution atleast brings us in the area of 1800MB/s and has a great low 4k random write score of 281MB/s.

We can also see that, while the Realtek solution has little in the way of advanced features, the SMI solution has LDPCC ECC Engine, Data Shaping and supports RAID engine.
