Crucial M4 256GB SATA 3 SSD Review – ATTO and AS SSD BenchMarks

ATTO Disk Benchmark V. 2.46

ATTO Disk Benchmark is the quickest and simplest method to determine transfer speeds and utilizes the same test methodology as manufacturers in arriving at performance results.  It simply measures raw sequential transfer speeds for both read and write access at various transfer sizes and produces a very easily understood result.  These results fall in line with specifications of 415MB/s read and 260MB/s write performance.

AS SSD Benchmark V. 1.5

AS SSD scoring differs from that of Crystal Disk BenchMark in that, although they both test with random data, AS SSD combines all runs for an averaged final score whereas Crystal provides the highest score reached through all runs.  These are excellent scores as are the disk access times and the fact that we can push the IOPS right up there as shown in this AS SSD IOPS result below:

Pg1 – Introduction and M4 Characteristics

Pg2 – Benchmark Prorocol and Initial Testing

Pg3 – ATTO and AS SSD Benchmarks

Pg4 – HDTune Pro Benchmarks

Pg5 – PCMark Vantage SSD Comparisons and Conclusions

Pg6 – Review Extras!
