Mind blown with SATA cables... Can it be truth?

    I am afraid it had nothing to do with the cables unless one was borked. Sata 3 cables are for marketing purposes, get you to spend more money.

    Looks like you used different drivers on the runs, there is your answer.

    Truth be told. First bench was with MS AHCI drivers, second bench with ASMedia AHCI drivers, seems like you plugged it into another SATA port (for the ASMedia controller).

    Both results have SATA 3 speeds and both were through a SATA 3 capable cable, although yes, you did change the port in which you were testing. How old is the SSD? Latter results seem normal to an older 830 drive.

    hi again
    you even dont know how you help me guys. you remind me that ive got 2 pairs conections of SATA3. 1st pair is from Intel and 2nd pair is from Asmedia (idk did i use a right phrases to tell you what ive got on my mind)

    1st link was with ASUS SATA3 cable (free addon with mainboard Maximus V Gene) on Asmedia
    2nd link was with ordinary old SATA cable on Intel

    I hope you will use something other than image shack - the endless wait for the commercials (some repeated) is absurd.

    I had a problem with an esata drive i thought was a bad cable, it turned out to be a flacky / bad connector on the hard drive enclosure, i change the external enclosure and all was fine.
