The SSD Review is committed to the ideal that every hardware review will stand on its own merits without influence whatsoever.  In short, WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) applies and every attempt will be made to include all facets of hardware testing.  There may be situations where an anomaly occurs in testing that is understood and that test method wouldn’t be utilized in fairness to the understanding of the reader and the hardware.

A typical example of this occurs when using SSD benchmarking software such as AS SSD or Crystal Disk Mark (in random test mode) on drives that utilize compression in storage of data.  The evaluation score presented becomes an unrealistic portrayal of the true ability of the drive and this has been seen consistently when SSDs are compared in real life and ‘simulated’ real life test scenarios such as those of PCMark Vantage x64.  For this reason, there may be evaluations where the specific benchmark has been excluded but, in all instances, those tests may be made available on request.

Before sending products, please be aware that we do not review beta or demo software.  The demographics of internet is exciting, in that our contributors span the globe and, in no instances, would they  be expected to pay for return product shipping. No Exceptions.

RETURN SHIPPING

On completion of each review, all hardware is returned to the manufacturer on receipt of return shipping information and, under no circumstances, will The SSD Review or its reviewers bear responsibility for return shipping of reviewed products. A USPS, Fedex, Purolator or UPS shipping label may be included with the original hardware or forwarded by e-mail.  Any hardware retained by The SSD Review, through the above described circumstances,  will remain to be the property of the manufacturer and return may be requested at any time.
