    ORDERED!!!

Hope I made the right decision

Have been really torn on which drive to go with, V3 or m4, and the more I read the more I was having trouble making a decision.

Decided to pull the trigger, as I missed the stock of m4's superbiz had shortly, and lets be honest, i'm just really anxious and getting impatient on my first ssd !!

if you are going to be ordering a large number of them (like someone i know getting 8) then you might want to wait about a month. or more. let the full effect of the 25nm to kick in , and i bet we see a 20 percent drop in next three months. right in time for the new Intel chipset

Newegg had a 1 unti per customer limit on this first round, and they were sold out within 2 hours, lol

Hehehe , did you actually make off with 2?

God the anticipation is killing me! I really hope it gets here Friday, chances are probably slim though, will likely be Monday. Been waiting soooooo long for my SSD experience!

just a heads up from some others who have been trying to skirt the limits. newegg has sent others e-mails indicating multiple shipments to the same address have been canceled. just be sure the lines don't connect and hopefully you get lucky. 2-3 more weeks and the limits will improve due to greater shipments.

As Comp already said though, I'd start with one to get your fix and buy more later on when price/availability settles.

Pass. OCZ is a fail company. If you want reliability, I wouldn't pick a company that has such shady business practices, not once but repeatedly. One example is how they recently changed their Vertex 2 products silently with the newer 25nm NAND, which delivers less lifespan, lower speeds, and lower capacity due to higher overprovisioning.

if you don't have anything good to say in reference to the title of the thread?.. maybe you could find another to flame in? plenty over at anandtech to huddle together with, that's for sure.
