Anyone get to watch the special on ABC news.
the report was done mostly inside a Fox-conn /Apple factory in China.
it was showing how the units are assemble, working conditions on the assembly line. safety measures the company's taken to stop employee from jump out windows to there deaths.
talked/showed how the employees live and eat on the factory site.(wow 12 hour days, 2 meal breaks of 1 hour each. cost .70 cents a meal for soup, rice & little meat ) { you have to eat at the factory} I may of missed how many days a week they work in the factory. its all non - union and one worker wont speak to the person next to them for the whole shift.(no small talk at all)
they showed the living areas 7 bunks to room . for $17 a week in the factory.(no visitors and no storage area i could see anyway.) they are given a area to exercise didn't see any equipment just a grassy field to do yoga.
it also showed what looked like a train station .this was were those looking for a job would come and wait (squeeze). till the factory decides to take possible new hires. the report said 80 % that day got hired. (looked like maybe a 1000 -1500 were there suit cases in hand . all with one thing on there mind. a job that payed about $2.00 Per-Hour.
Here the same work would pay $25 per hour . you be able to go home at night.
and eat what ever you want. like my wife said - here i could afford the product I'm making. most the workers at the factory had not been back to there villages for months.
the village people are happy with this . they say its the best it's been. now they have warm clothing and life's improved. I seen the picture and was sickened. Iv'ed seen street people living in better conductions here in the states.

yup its nuts... Foxconns answer to thier high suicide rates were to erect nets LOL that is just insane!
nets to catch jumping people instead of addressing the freaking issue!
