by card, i assume you mean a MSATA drive? Les is the man for that, he is the MSATA pro!My budget isen't hugh but I'm interested in buying a decent card
Hi all.
All new terain for me but here goes.
I DJ with my precision m6500, do some video editing (have CS5 but prefer studio 15) but mainly looking to record music with either Cubase or Pro tools - haven't decided yet.
I have been aware of the SSD revolution but only from afar, until now. I'm looking for a Msata (mini?) SSD to run windows 7 - i7 etc. The computer has "3" slots for drives but one is a mini SSD slot I believe. Well. Being a subscriber to this site via email I've noticed read/write speeds have gone up considerably, so I'm glad I waited and didn't buy a samsung one a while back.
I've had a look through the site but was wondering whether you can enlighten me as to whats what in the market these days?
My budget isen't hugh but I'm interested in buying a decent card so who better to ask.

Anywho. Been looking at the Intel 310 as a possible drive but have a feeling Dell might have something to say about that. Why don't they list drives like the 310 on there website for sale. I read somewhere they were having trouble with there choice for the MiniSata for the Precision, a Samsung unit I believe! Who knows what the situation is, contractual?
I must say, if I have anything to say of meaning, it would be "WOW" what a step forward in development SSD really is. My 5 year old Precision can bang along faster than the latest variation. Great site. Very slick.
Anyway thanks for the pleasant greetings.
From a very nice man.
