    What About The Logitech G700?

    Does anyone here own one?

    Has anyone here used one?

All these new games I've gotten, has given me the urge for a new gaming mouse. My ol' G500 is still working fine, I'm just getting a little bored with it, and need a new toy.

Most folks are saying that there is no perceptible difference anymore between wired, and wireless gaming mice. I guess hard core professional gamers would disagree, but that's not me.

If anyone has experience with this, or a similar wireless gaming mouse, I'd like to hear about your opinions....thanks.

Yeah, I like the idea of being able to program lots of keyboard functions like a button for "R" (reload), and another for "Z" or "C" (crouch), another for the very popular "E" key, and so on.

I was hoping some one here had one, but I guess not.

Are you gonna buy that mouse Ham? It surely looks like a great choice.

Have you heard of Pinnacle Game Profiler? I bought this little program years ago and it has proven invaluable providing joystick/gamepad support for all games, even ones who don't have native support.

It is especially useful for driving parts in some games. For example, in a shooter game like Far Cry 2 I hate to use a joypad for aiming. Also, after spending a few hours with my left hand on the WSAD keys, I get cramps. I want to be able to use a gamepad stick for direction, and a mouse for aiming and shooting.

With Pinnacle I can use the left analogue joystic of a gamepad emulating WSAD for movement, and use the mouse for aiming and shooting. It even allows you to program keyboard macros and assign them on mouse keys. When it comes to driving a vehicle I drop the mouse and use the joypad only, again via Pinnacle emulating WSAD on the analogue stick. it makes driving much easier and enjoyable for me. When you're out the car it's back to analogue stick for movement and mouse for aiming.

I grew up playing arcade games with movement contols through an analogue stick, so I prefer it to WSAD. The problem is that in many PC games you can either choose Mouse/keys OR gamepad. With Pinnacle you can use both, and also assign any combos you want on any buttons of your choice.

I don't know....there are a number of good choices out there. I'm still researching.

Thanks for the info on Pinnacle. Actually I prefer to use a G13. It gives me the flexibility to use any combination I want for any type of game. The programability is amazing!

There is an analog joystick for movement, or the keys can be programmed.

The LCD display can be used for any type of monitoring, from games to CPU, or GPU temps, fan speeds, GPU or CPU loads, etc.

    With FEAR2.jpg

Keys can be color coded for easy reference. I guess this isn't for everyone, but I love it.

The G13 looks great Ham, it looks like its about £55 here in the UK. I am now tempted to get one myself!

It's a very cold morning today over here, I just arrived at work and I'm still freezing, sipping some hot coffee feels so good. De-icing the car this morning was horrible.

I sure don't miss the winters up north. If I never experience ice, cold, and snow again, it will be too soon, ha!

As for the G13, like I said, not for everyone, but I've gotten so used to it, I'd have trouble gaming without it.

I've also become accustomed to monitoring temps etc. in both the G15 and the G13. Can't live without either one, ha! If anything happened to my G15, I'd replace it with the new G19. It's pricey, but has a larger color LCD display that I really like.

Still looking at mice....no decision as yet.

Couple shots of the upcoming Thermaltake Level 10 GT mouse, looks like a lot of R.A.T. styling influence with some edges rounded off. Very few images available yet - but BMW Designworks again assisted with this, as they did with the matching PC cases.

That's a very cool looking piece of technology Stratos, but it appears to be wired.

I'm tired of a wired gaming mouse, I hate the drag from the wire. My next gaming mouse will definitely be wireless.

Ever since I got this wireless mouse about a year ago, I have become addicted to the freedom it gives me. I've used it for gaming, and see absolutely no difference in response time, between it, and my G500, which is wired. Unfortunately it lacks the programmable buttons, needed for gaming.
