Thanks for the reply Ham! Good info for what time you've had with it so far.

Pretty positive i'm gonna go with it. I like the fact that the battery is easily replaceable as well if it ever stops holding a charge well. Will likely order one in the next couple days.

Well, good luck, I hope you enjoy it. Over 300 reviews on Newegg with an 80% approval rating isn't bad at all.

Gooseman, I returned on the 18th, as I said in post #29.

Of course the G700 was totally dead. It took about 2.5 hours to reach full charge. I unplugged it and started using it around 4pm. I left the switch in the "ON" position, and have not turned it off. It just died a few minutes ago at 4:30pm on Tues. the 21st. That's almost exactly 72 hours of continuous use.

I use my computer about 6 hours a day. If I were to simply switch it off when not using it, based on about 6 hours per day, it would have to be recharged about every 12 days. This is almost exactly the the same as my Logitech Performance MX. It lasts 10 to 11 days between charges.

I would imagine that someone who games heavily, say 2 or 3 hours every day, probably wouldn't get more than 5 or 6 days between charges. It works fine for me, because when I see the red LED warning that the battery is low, I just plug it in before going to bed, and it's good to go the next morning.

I hope that performance is sufficient for your use. Let me know how you make out.

The theory I expressed in the previous post was just that, theory.

Not so in actual use. While constant "ON" lasted 72 hours. Turning "OFF" the G700 when not in use, did not result in the 10 or 11 days I had anticipated.

Today is Sunday, and the mouse just died. That's only just shy of 6 days. This is certainly not an issue for me, I just plug in the charging USB cable, use it as a wired mouse for a few hours until it's fully charged, and then detach the cable. I have no idea why it doesn't last the full 10 to 11 days, as does the Performance MX. The design and battery is the same, so???

I'm guessin' there's probably a battery available with a higher Amp/Hr rating, that would last a couple of days longer, but I didn't bother to look. I'm fine with it as is.

That's about all I can tell you Gooseman, except that I love gaming with it!!!
